sisterhood of the elements

book 1

of

the Gathering

by martha 'gipsiecrone' bowman

This novel is unfinished and has already been restarted twice; the first draft was titled 'Gathering of The Guardians'  and was abandoned because it seemed to be going nowhere and kept stalling out. I put it up and didn't look at it for about 3 months but bits and pieces of it kept creeping into my thoughts and from the end of my fingers - like something or someone was trying to send a message to me.

I opened the file back up sometime this past summer and started over; I changed the name to 'House of Fire'; Book 1 of 'Gathering Of The Guardians' and  salvaged what I could, then I basically started over. Things proceeded well for a while until it felt like the book started writing itself. I'd be going in one direction and suddenly I was off in another direction on a totally different tangent so I am stalled again but this time it's because I seem to have too many ideas floating around in my head all at once.

Now after yet another change and more down time I offer you what I have written of ' Sisterhood of The Elements' Book 1 of 'The Gathering'

I really have no dream of becoming another J.K. Rawlings  nor any ambition to have another book published in hard copy but I would like to at least hold the interest of those who choose to read my offerings on the web or as a free eBook.  Anyway here is what I have so far. You can leave me a comment on Tell Me What You Think when I get it up and running or email me at gipsiewonderer@mail.com and let me know what you think - I'd appreciate it.

Dedication and Acknowledgements

I dedicate this book to Moriah, my first granddaughter whom I raised from infancy, she has enriched my life and kept me young well into my Cronedom, to her brothers and sister who are also among my greatest blessings, to Bobby my foster son; the child of my heart who was always the loving big brother, and to Barbara, my beloved step daughter, who came first. I also want to thank all those along the way who have enriched my life and helped me grasp the right threads at the right time to obtain what I’ve needed on this – my life’s journey.

May the Goddess be with you for always.

Sisterhood of the elements

Introduction

I look down and see Andy sitting beside the bed where I'm lying with a needle in my arm, there are tears in his eyes and and I hear him say "Please Goddess, I don't think I could take losing her again. I love her so much." "Don't worry, my daughter. the two of you will grow old together but you must have this time alone there is much you must learn and remember. Come." I took Her hand and looking back at Andy I whispered, "I love you My Lord. Wait for me," and I followed 'The ALL Mother' through the veil into my past.
