Mary Summer Rain got the name Summer Rain from No Eyes, a blind Chippewa medicine woman. In 1977, both she and her husband felt a calling and moved their family from Detroit to Colorado. Her rise to fame came through the writing of her first series of books that followed the teachings of the woman she called No-Eyes.

Though I think ACTIVIST when I think of Michele Elys  she is also a gifted writer and belongs here as well as onYou've Got to Stand For Something

‘Neath a blood-red moon – ‘tis an ancient romance

‘Round the Fires on Samhain Eve
Some folk say and do believe
Ancestors ‘tween the dancers weave
